Nora Ellsworth

Practical books about running a home — what to keep, where it goes, and how to make a system that survives a bad week.

About

Nora Ellsworth is a pen name. The books are written and published independently by a single author, who prefers to keep her working life private.

The books here come from a plain idea: most home advice fails not because people are lazy, but because the system was the wrong shape to begin with. A routine that only works on a good day is not a routine. So every book on this shelf is built around what happens on the bad days, and each one shows its arithmetic rather than asking you to trust a number on a cover.

The writing is independent. There is no publishing house behind these titles, no ghostwriter, and no licensed or syndicated material in them.

How these books are made. The author works with AI drafting tools. She sets the premise, argument and structure, writes the chapter outline before any prose exists, and directs the drafting — then revises the result substantially by hand, fact-checking every claim against live sources before anything ships. The cover art is likewise AI-generated to her own written art direction. Under Amazon's Content Guidelines this counts as AI-generated content, and it is declared as such on every title. It is said here for the same reason it is said there: a reader is entitled to know how a book was made.

The Downsizing Countdown

Published 2026 · Available on Amazon Kindle

A staged plan for moving to a smaller home without losing the things that matter. Written for the person who has to empty a house on a deadline, and would rather do it in an order that makes sense than in a panic the week before the truck arrives.

Clutter-Free Systems for Minds That Work Differently — A Home Guide for ADHD Brains

Forthcoming 2026

Twenty-six chapters on building a home that works for a brain that forgets what it cannot see. The first law of the book is the one every storage aisle gets wrong: if you can't see it, you don't own it. Closed opaque bins are where things go to be forgotten. Every chapter has a bad-day version.
